The Amrex Z-Stim IF250 microprocessor controlled
stimulator provides three widely used modalities: Quad-Polar interferential,
Bi-Polar interferential and Russian stimulation. Interferential current is
designed for therapeutic stimulation of nerves and muscles in the treatment of
acute pain, edema reduction, and muscle rehabilitation. The Quad-Polar
Interferential modality provides twelve selectable beat frequencies - six
constant and six sweep. The Quad-Polar modality features a dynamic output cycle
which increases the interferential stimulation target field. The Bi-Polar
Interferential modality provides premodulated, four pad, two channel
interferential treatment. The Bi-Polar modality features twelve selectable
modulation frequencies - six constant and six sweep. The Russian (2500 Hz)
modality provides four pad, two channel Russian stimulation featuring a
continuous, exercise or rehab treatment mode. The IF250 features a treatment
stop switch designed to instill patient confidence. The treatment stop switch
allows the patient to discontinue stimulator output at the press of a button.
