We want to congratulate Western States Chiropractic College on their opening of a new outpatient clinic in Portland, OR - Columbia Integrated Care. The school is working to make sure their interns have a more authentic experience of clinical settings. This new satellite clinic allows interns to see what it’s like to work in an off-campus clinic for the last year of their education. This kind of training should help students better prepare for their career after graduation. The new clinic accepts most major insurances, and they offer a wide variety of services. Patients can get Chiropractic care (including most physiotherapeutics), Massage, Acupuncture, and Naturopathic medicine. Dr. Anita Roberts (Chiropractic Physician) and Dr. Daniel DeLapp (Chiropractic Physician, Naturopathic Physician, and Licensed Acupuncturist), are the attending physicians for the clinic, and they each oversee a group of about 15 interns. If you’re in the Portland area, and would like to schedule an appointment, please call them at 503-808-7979. Tell them ChiroHub sent you!

Many Chiropractors use nutritional supplements to help their patients achieve health and wellness faster and more long term. As you may already by aware, ChiroHub offers Chiropractic Product Reviews for Nutritional Supplements offered by companies that sell exclusively to Health Care Professionals (HCP’s). We are getting an increased demand for specific details about the plethora of nutritional supplements that each company offers. In order to help users find as much consumer information on one site as possible, we are currently loading product catalogs from various Supplement Companies. If you don’t see the products of your preferred company listed, please contact them to have them submit their information to ChiroHub.
If you’re a Supplement Company, we strongly encourage you to make sure that your products are listed, images are associated with each listing, and your information is current. To make loading your catalog on ChiroHub easier, we are providing this EXAMPLE SPREADSHEET to show you the format required for upload on ChiroHub. Once you’ve put your catalog in the appropriate spreadsheet format, you can email it to us. We will then send you a product copyright license agreement that enables us to use the associated images. Once you send us the spreadsheet, we will take care of the rest. Several companies have already taking advantage of this feature on ChiroHub - check out the listings for Integrative Therapeutics to see the difference loading your catalog makes.

When deciding which site you’re going to use, or which Chiropractic Directory you want to spend your precious marketing dollars on, it’s important to understand the differences between the various directories. As you know, ChiroHub is very dedicated to keeping the consumer informed. With that mission in mind, we have started to develop a comparison chart of the Chiropractic Directories that we find on the internet. If you think we are selecting criteria just to make our site look the best, then we invite you to suggest different criteria. One thing that we can’t really quantify is the user-friendliness of the Chiropractic Directory, but we think you’ll easily be able to determine what you like best by spending a few minutes on each site.
The chart below works as follows: The first three columns show the amount of Chiropractors listed in each of the top 3 cities in the United States. The other columns indicate additional features found on the site to make it a more robust user experience.

You can clearly see that there are only a few directories out there that have a substantial amount of Chiropractors listed. Some may argue that a directory with only a few other DC’s listed would effectively eliminate the competition. However, you should ask yourself, which directory is the general public (i.e. potential patients) more likely to use? A site that has only a handful of listings for a major city, or a directory that lists every known doctor in the area? Further, when that database offers user feedback and reviews, the public becomes even more informed. We think the decision is clear!

We want to thank Sherman for being the first Chiropractic College to complete our survey. If you aren’t familiar with the project we’ve been tackling, please read our blog article “Compare Chiropractic Schools“. We’re trying to finally provide prospective students with the kind of information they are looking for - all on one site. We know how hard it can be to dig through every school’s site to find the right information, so we hope this will help user make more informed decisions. When we get the majority of responses back, we’ll put together a comparison page and rank the Schools according to certain criteria. For now, you can go to our official listing for Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic to see the results of their survey.

We are pleased to announce the release of our video product review for the Single Cushion Drop by Thuli Tables. Our video reviews allow users to see Chiropractic Products in use, so they can better determine the functionality and appearance of the product. Chiropractors can now make even better consumer decisions, thanks to the hard work by our review team. If you are a Manufacturer, or Professional Service Provider, please visit our page about Product Submissions to ChiroHub, so you can get your product/service the publicity it deserves.
Users should know that we only do video reviews for products with which we have no affiliation at the time of production. This prevents any conflict of interest on our part, and it assures consumers (Chiropractors) that the review is unbiased.

If you’ve perused the pages of ChiroHub’s various directories, you’ve noticed that certain listings stand out from the rest. An obvious way to make your listing stand out is to upgrade to a featured listing. For Chiropractors, this is an easy way to make your ad much more attractive, and to increase its visibility in searches. Go to our page on “How to upgrade my Chiropractic Directory Listing” for rates and details.
For Chiropractic Product Manufacturers/Suppliers/Service Providers, there’s good news. You can get an image added to any of your listings for FREE. Why do we give you free listings, while the Chiropractors have to pay or earn their upgrades? It’s not because we like you better. In fact, we are doing this for the Chiropractors. We want them to be able to see the products they are reviewing. It makes our database of Chiropractic Products/Services much more user friendly.
Let us give you an example – say you’re a Chiropractor, and you’re in the market for a new Elevation Chiropractic Table. You know there are a lot of choices out there, but you just can’t decide which is the best value. To make your informed consumer decision, you jump on ChiroHub to check out our product reviews. While scanning the results of your search, you notice that some have thumbnail images, and others do not. Which listings are you most likely to click on? It’s just like shopping on Ebay, you’re going to click on the ones that have an image associated with them. By viewing the photo, you will be able to see the features that the manufacturer lists in the product description, thereby improving your ability to make an informed consumer decision.
Another advantage of having an image associated with your listings is Branding. If you’ve never heard the term – pick up any marketing book. This image will serve as a reminder to people about who your company is. When you see golden arches, what do you think? You probably think of McDonalds. That’s an example of branding. Let it work for your business today (only we recommend you avoid the French fries)! Send us an email now to get an image associated with your listing.

After hours of hard work, we have finally completed our development of the Chiropractic School Survey. By listening to our users, we developed a questionnaire that attempts to cover most of the major criteria that prospective students use to decide which Chiropractic School is the best fit for their needs. There is nothing like this on the internet for prospective students to do proper research when deciding between schools. This report supports our mission of Chiropractic Consumer Advocacy, and we think that future users will benefit greatly from it.
You can check our Chiropractic Schools page to see if the survey has been completed by the school you are interested in. If you don’t see anything in their individual listing, then they have not responded to our survey yet. In such a case, we recommend that you contact the school and let them know you are interested in seeing their information on ChiroHub. At the school’s request, we can resend them the survey at any time.
Do you want to see which criteria were included in the survey? Check out the long list below, and please feel free to Contact Us with any suggestions you have for additional information.

We’ve all heard the stories of the recent Chiropractic Graduate that goes and gets a job as an Associate, but only to be forced into slave labor by another Chiropractor. Some of us have even been on the receiving end of this deal. It’s not a pleasant experience, but it typifies the cannibalistic Chiropractors that exist out there.
We want graduates to understand that this DOES NOT apply to all Chiropractic Associateships. There are many wonderful Chiropractors out there that will spend quality time with you to help you learn the details of running your own practice, but this article is not about them. It’s about the few who take advantage of new grads and work them until their knuckles bleed. No vacation time, long hours, low pay, loads of extra work, countless off-site presentations - these are some of the signs and symptoms of a bad situation.
This isn’t to say that you shouldn’t be working hard to earn your place in the office. You certainly need to take an active role in helping to build the practice, but you should never feel like you are being taken advantage of or over-worked (without proper compensation).
Until now, there hasn’t really been any kind of accountability for these Chiropractors. ChiroHub has built a directory that should contain every licensed DC in the US (over 70,000 listings)! If you, or anyone you know, has had experience working as an Associate for a Chiropractor, we highly recommend you take the time to visit our Chiropractic Directory and write a detailed review about the doctor you worked for. This kind of public feedback will allow future grads to read about a DC before they sign up to work as an Associate under him/her. Together we can make a safer, more enjoyable work place for all Chiropractors.

As both Health Care Providers and business owners, Chiropractors are faced with unique challenges in the legal world. It’s very important to remain in compliance with your state and federal laws, because one mistake could cost you your practice. We all know how expensive legal advice can be, but there is a way to get through that cost barrier, so that you don’t jeopardize your practice. Trying to save some money by cutting legal corners will certainly not pay off in the long run.
Here are just a few examples of situations that might warrant calling an attorney:
-Starting a new practice
-Buying an existing Chiropractic Practice
-Entering into any kind of contract
-Being faced with a lawsuit
-Consultation on a Personal Injury case
Now, you don’t really think we’re going to give you legal advice on our website do you? We’re not lawyers, and we certainly wouldn’t try to pretend otherwise. So, why are we writing an article about “legal advice for Chiropractors”? Because we found out about a helpful resource that we want to share. Of course, you could search the internet for your legal questions and contracts, but you’ll probably find there are disclaimers on most sites saying that the answers are only opinions and can’t be construed as proper legal consultation. In fact, ChiroHub even has an area in our Chiropractors Forum where you can ask other practitioners in your state what their OPINION is on various laws or scope of practice; but this doesn’t replace the legal representation that you would need to go to court.
So, when you really need to meet with an attorney face-to-face, where do you go? How do you pick one? We aren’t aware of a site like ChiroHub for the Legal world that has ratings and reviews for all the attorneys in the US, so you are left to try and find your own. We can recommend several things:
1) Ask around! Always try to get a recommendation from others who have had a positive experience with the lawyer you are considering.
2) Use the local yellow pages (don’t let the size of the ad fool you though)
3) The great TIP we received recently is that you can get a State Bar referral. This may not be available in all states, but you can certainly call your State Bar to find out. You can try searching Google for your State Bar, or try the FindLaw site.
Why would calling your State Bar be so helpful? First of all, you can verify that there are no outstanding complaints about the attorney. You can also have them recommend an attorney that specializes in your particular area of interest. Another great thing about calling the Bar directly is that attorneys who have signed up for “Bar referrals” have agreed to meet with clients for a certain fee. This fee is usually pretty low in comparison to their standard fees. In some states it is as low as $30 for the 30-45 minute consultation. We think it’s a good deal, and we hope that next time you are in need of an attorney, you’ll consider this option.
